World Alzheimer's Month
World Alzheimer's Month is the international campaign by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia.
With aims of providing an easy access and ongoing support for people living with dementia (pwd) and their caregivers who live in remote communities with limited dementia support service available, a mobile dementia service team will be set up to serve as the community-based service station, and multi-component interventions include dementia friendly neighborhood initiatives, early detection service, non-pharmacological interventions, and caregivers support service will be offered.
With the massive influence among individuals and support driven by corporations/groups, a dementia-friendly community can be cultivated by spreading the correct understanding and encouraging actions to care and support those people living with dementia
